Hayley (“Hayles”) is a multi-instrumentalist and teacher from Southern California. With a personal history rich in musical experiences, Hayles has played in a variety of music groups! Some experiences include a handbell choir; various vocal ensembles; jazz, studio, and concert bands; and orchestras on trombone and trumpet. Likewise, Hayles has played percussion and synthesizer in multiple ensembles and even was the drum major for a drum and bugle corps! As a composer, Hayles’ original pieces have been performed by musicians at Ventura College, CSUN, and CalArts.
Hayles went to California State University, Northridge and graduated with a B.A. in music. Since 2012, Hayles has taught privately. But in addition to private teaching, Hayles also teaches general music in the classroom setting for a non-profit organization that brings music education to under-served populations. Above all, the heart and mission behind all that Hayles does as a teacher is to bring music to all people!
