A multi-instrumentalist, Cole teaches piano, guitar, ukulele, bass and drums lessons in Los Angeles. In addition to teaching, he also is a singer/songwriter, producer, and recording studio owner. He is currently working on his degree in Music at Cal State Northridge. Although Cole didn’t grow up in a musical family, he discovered The Beatles when he was 6 years old. From that moment on, he was hooked. He knew that he wanted to be a guitarist and songwriter!
Cole began taking private guitar lessons in Thousand Oaks at age 7. He studied with the same teacher for 11 years! In that time, he also learned to play the piano, ukulele, bass, drums, percussion, and studied singing. An avid and eager student, Cole also began studying random instruments here and there. He even learned to play the harmonica! Because he knew he wanted to be a professional musician, he started recording his own albums at the age of 9. In 2016, he wrote, recorded, released and performed his first commercial album, and he’s currently working on his next project!
Cole started teaching guitar lessons in the 8th grade as part of a “start your own business” school project. Later on, the City of Thousand Oaks hired him to teach at their Teen Center. He taught group guitar lessons there for two years, while also maintaining his own private teaching studio. As a teacher, Cole is passionate about keeping music alive and making sure his students have a fun and productive time so they’ll want to continue to play their instrument long into the future. He believes it’s up to today’s teachers to ensure that real musicians will continue to grow as music becomes more and more computerized. Cole wants to inspire his students and show them how fun, crazy, empowering, and life-changing music can be!
