Alice

Piano, Flute Teacher
Alice is a private piano lessons and flute lessons teacher in Los Angeles. Nearly finished earning her Bachelor of Music at California State, Northridge, Alice has played the flute since she was 9. However, her love of music began long before that. At age 3, her parents discovered her playing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” on a toy xylophone – by ear! Since then, Alice has had the privilege of performing with various orchestras and wind ensembles. Her performances have accompanied stars, including Serj Tankian and Aida Cuevas. Additionally, she has played in wonderful places, such as the Historic Iao Theatre in Wailuku, Maui and for charities, such as the California Institute for Women, a women’s prison in San Bernardino. Alice has enjoyed playing for a number of musical theater productions, too! Some of her favorite shows are “The Pirates of Penzance” and “9 to 5: The Musical!”
Alice began teaching at age 15 and has never stopped. Nothing is better to her than seeing the look on a student’s face when they realize their hard work in learning something has paid off! As a teacher, ensuring that students are in a comfortable, accepting environment so that they have room to grow is her top priority. One of her favorite teaching moments was when she had the opportunity to teach a class of 5th graders how to play the Taiko drums. Alice’s plan for the rest of her life is to continue performing and teaching. She wants to see as many people as possible have their lives enriched by music!
"I'm so happy that we found The Schuler Music Studio! We worked with a couple of teachers before this, and it used to be like pulling teeth, trying to get my daughter to practice the piano during the week. Ever since we enrolled her in lessons with you, it's been a complete 180. I love listening to her play, and I love even more that she goes to the piano on her own without me having to tell her to. I'm telling everybody about it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" - Eleonor R., Sherman Oaks
