Carly is a classically trained composer and multi-instrumentalist.  Her primary instrument is the violin, which she began playing at just 3 years of age.  She earned her Bachelor’s of Music from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and her Master of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts.  When she isn’t teaching, her music career includes performing with a heavy metal band as well as recording her original compositions!

As a teacher, Carly has worked with students of all ages, backgrounds and musical interests.  She believes in allowing the needs and interests of her students to shape each lesson and its learning outcomes. Her approach to teaching puts the student first so that they can continue to grow and flourish musically.  She brings a patient warmth to her lessons because she believes the learning process should be positive and fun!
