Patricia is a vocalist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and teacher based in LA. She attained her Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied jazz voice and composition. Patricia is an experienced performer, songwriter, and teacher of voice, piano, guitar and ukulele in many styles. She has toured the United States, Canada, and Europe, sharing the stage with celebrated jazz artists.
Patricia is passionate about music education. She teaches voice, composition, music theory, songwriting, piano, ukulele, and guitar to students of all ages and ability levels. Because she focuses on her individual students and crafts her lesson plans to their unique needs and interests, her students grow by leaps and bounds! Due to her attentive and detailed approach, she has even successfully coached students for prestigious competitions, auditions, festivals, and performances! Patricia is additionally a licensed Kindermusik educator with specialized training and experience teaching students ages 2 to 7. She invites students of all ages to develop their musicality and to cultivate a life-long passion for the arts and for creative self-expression!

Musical influences: Everyone! I love expanding my horizons – picking a favorite feels impossible… Off the top of my head, major influences have been Donny Hathaway, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, Billie Holiday, Anita O’Day, Patsy Cline, Curtis Mayfield, the Rolling Stones, Jessye Norman, Le Trio Joubran, Bill Evans, Jimi Hendrix, Son House, Robert Johnson, (and there are so many others!) 🙂
Instruments you teach and play: Piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele
Favorite non-musical hobby, past-time or activity: Hiking, beaches, anything that involves being outside.
Favorite food: Again, I can’t pick! 🙂 I love trying new things – since moving to LA, K-town and Oaxacan food have been particularly wonderful to explore!
Fun/random fact about you: I grew up on a farm! I can ride horses, and I know how to milk cows and goats.
