Dear Prospective Student/Parent,
We are so honored that you are interested in learning more about our music studio, and we’re excited about the possibility of working with you and your family!
After graduating from UCLA with my B.A., I set out to conquer the world with music. While honing my skills as a piano teacher, I began to dream of owning my own studio – a place where learning to play music would be fun and where students could have input in the music they were learning, a place where they would be built up and encouraged for their progress and where they’d leave each lesson with a deeper understanding of music and love for playing their instrument.
In 2009 I took the leap and founded The Schuler Music Studio, a private music lessons studio in Los Angeles that offers in-home lessons. Within eight months my piano student enrollment had exceeded capacity and the requests for other instruments were flooding in, so I began hiring other teachers who could help me offer piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, violin, viola and cello lessons. It’s always been important to me to work with music teachers who shared my musical philosophy, so I take my time when looking for new faculty members to make sure I have the right team in place for our students. Word continues to spread about how rewarding it is to take lessons at our music studio, and we continue to grow and expand our programs and the areas of Los Angeles that we service.
So, why have we been so successful up to this point? I believe our three-part, student-centric approach is the key:
1) We emphasize confidence-building.
2) We focus on providing a solid musical foundation.
3) We specialize in making the learning process fun!
Music is a part of everyone; it’s inside of us all! It’s our goal as a private music lessons studio and as individual teachers to draw out the inner musician in our students, to inspire them, to educate and develop them, and to excite their passion to play and create.
So, come play with us! Let us be a part of your musical journey!
Sincerely,
Mary Ruth Schuler,
Executive Director
